After the Storm: SHARE Iowa and emergency relief
Since launching in 2022, SHARE Iowa has become a trusted resource for public and nonprofit causes throughout the southwest part of the state to connect to one another. This is especially true in the days and months since tornados impacted scores of families and businesses in 2024. SHARE Iowa was identified as a centralized hub for emergency relief, providing a solution for the community to identify actionable ways to provide aid or receive relief. Their primary focus is on community and nonprofit capacity generating initiatives in rural areas. SHARE Iowa builds up endowment funds, promotes actionable initiatives like #GivingTuesday712 and educates the community on its greatest needs while highlighting the lasting impact they generate through Community Connects.
