SHARE GOOD EMERGES AS A NEWFOUND NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION TO ADVANCE SHARE COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE NATION

Share Good emerges as a newfound nonprofit organization to advance SHARE communities across the nation

— January, 2023 — Share Good announces the establishment of their charitable organization to develop engagement and growth of communities nationwide who are seeking to come together and strengthen their local community through good in easy and accessible ways.

The SHARE concept was founded in 2012 by Kelly Brooks in Charlotte, NC as SHARE Charlotte. From there, the interest from other communities grew, and in 2018, Brooks founded Share Good LLC to scale the software nationally. In 2021, SHARE Omaha acquired Share Good LLC and led the momentum of the community engagement platform as it began its journey to grow under Share Omaha’s nonprofit structure. As Share Good’s platform and the SHARE community membership continued to flourish under the organization’s umbrella, their leadership team discovered the potential for Share Good to strike out on its own as a national charity to expand impact across regions from coast to coast. Share Good emerges forward to serve the existing family of SHARE communities and to launch new area members and partnerships across the nation to cultivate collective impact.

Share Good officially debuts as a nonprofit organization under new leadership with Marjorie Maas serving as chief executive officer, Lindsay Muse as chief operating officer, and with founding board members David Scott, Mike Cassling and Jeanie Jones. Maas shares, “It is our honor to continue to innovate the future of Share Good with our founder’s vision to activate good within communities. The mission of all SHARE members is to democratize philanthropy with Share Good’s inclusive platform being the uniting tool.”

The community engagement platform centralizes local nonprofits together and offers simple and creative ways for people to engage with them. Share Good currently offers their software which aggregates nonprofits and four opportunities for supporters to connect (donating, volunteering, shopping and events) with the causes on a profile-driven, hyper-local community platform.

“It’s our goal to “Unite Your Community Through Good” – as a technology and engagement partner for cities, foundations and organizations wanting to increase their region’s philanthropic and service involvement. Human-centric collaboration and ideation are the core values brought to develop resources as we address our communities’ greatest needs,” says Share Good board chair David Scott.

About Share Good
The mission of Share Good and all member communities is to democratize philanthropy.
Why? Because we - our communities, our families and our greater country – are better when we help each other.
How? We believe there is a spark when nonprofits voice their needs and the public rises to meet them. The public neighbor chooses how to support causes and alleviate crises based on their individual capacity, interest and passions
What? This is accomplished primarily through our uniting tool of the Share Good software.
